Born and raised in Southern Nevada, Heidi Leavitt still currently resides there with her high school sweetheart - husband of 34 years. Together they raised 6 children and now have 14 grandchildren. Heidi is a celebrated fine artist, she also specializes in works that focus on the faith, freedom and heritage of the American West. Heidi’s work is deeply rooted in her upbringing, weaving together stories of devotion, heritage, and the quiet beauty of everyday life. For nearly two decades, she has painted what she sees and feels—spiritual truths captured in brushstrokes and color.

While art was always a part of her life, it existed in the margins for many years—an expression of personal joy and faith amidst the responsibilities of family life. “I chose to be at home,” she shares, “and I dabbled in art on the side. But now, with our children grown and our family expanding, I’ve been blessed with the time to pursue my passion fully.”

Trained under respected artists Jon McNaughton and Dan Wilson, Heidi has honed her figurative and portrait work expertise, often blending religious and Western themes to powerful effect. “I love creating paintings that invoke a spiritual emotion in the viewer,” she says. “It is a special thing to share what is meaningful to me with others. I love art that strengthens our perspective that life is a special gift.”
